Born in Barrio Logan in 1982, Porkyland has been serving scratch-made, authentic Mexican food for over 40 years. From our roots in Logan Heights to La Jolla, Hillcrest, Del Mar, and beyond, generations of San Diegans know us for family tradition, quality ingredients, and unbeatable flavor. Still locally owned. Porkyland is family-owned and locally operated, and for the past 42 years our mission has remained the same: to deliver an authentic, traditional Mexican dining experience full of freshness and flavor. You can customize your menu to ensure your guests are satisfied.

Our History

Owners Pepe and Deborah Stepensky originally moved from Mexico City to San Diego in 1986 and quickly discovered there was a need for more authentic Mexican food, but in a fast-casual atmosphere. Porkyland Mexican Grill helped fulfill their dream to bring a little bit of Mexico City to the community of San Diego.

Porkyland Mexican Grill prides itself on serving original family recipes made from scratch daily. Pepe and Deborah currently operate Porkyland Mexican Grill, servicing the Del Mar, Carmel Valley, and Torrey Hills neighborhoods as well as two longtime staples of Seaport Village: Margaritas Kitchen & Cantina, and San Diego Burger Company.
